Requirements for DPSA Pharmaceutical Assistant Manager :-

Basic qualification accredited with the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC) that allows registration with the SAPC as a pharmacist. A minimum of 5 years’ appropriate experience after registration as a pharmacist with the SAPC. Relevant hospital pharmacist experience. Skills Profile: Knowledge of Good Pharmacy Practice, National Drug Policy, Pharmacy regulations and act 101. An understanding of the relevant employment acts including the PFMA. Good communication skills, report writing and presentation skills. Computer literacy. Willing to tutor both pharmacist assistants and pharmacist interns.

DUTIES : Ensure efficient drug supply management. Ensure overall quality management of all pharmaceutical services. Assist in the development of SOPs, policies and health systems. Innovative in the improvement of pharmaceutical care services. Establish operational systems. Plan and organise own work and work of subordinates to allow smooth flow of pharmaceutical services
